Bonded steel plate and post installed anchor for column and beam strengthening

The reinforcement of the beam: steel jacketing. The following two methods are used to reinforce the columns: (1) steel plate bonding; (2) post installed anchor.

Project overview

The whole building group is divided into two buildings, with a total of 9 towers. The I building is composed of 5 unit towers, with 15 and 18 floors of building area 50378mz (without basement). The II is composed of 4 towers, all of which are 16 layers, and the building area is 35464 M2 (without basement). Later, the owners raised 1-2 floors of the towers for commercial reasons. The Design Institute found the top structure and part of the original structure's axial compression ratio of the column is more than 0.9. The original structure can not meet the load requirements after the adding layer, so the original design is supplemented by local modification. Some beams and columns that have been completed must be reinforced. There are 29 beams to be strengthened, all of which are at the top of the original top. There are 24 columns for reinforcement, including 6 layers and 15 bars, and 11 layers and 9 strips.A total of 32 sections, of which 5, 6, 18, 9, 10 layer 14. According to the design requirements, the columns of the I building are strengthened by both sides, and the second building is strengthened with 4 and three surfaces, and the rest are strengthened by both sides.

Determination and selection of construction scheme for structural strengthening system

The reinforcement of the beam: steel jacketing.

The following two methods are used to reinforce the columns: (1) steel plate bonding; (2) post installed anchor.

Materials: 6 mm thick steel plate; medium 18 mm steel rebar; adhesive anchor; steel plate bonding adhesive.
