How Do You Install Carbon Fiber Strips?
(1) Substrate surface treatment
1. Concrete base
Remove oil, dust and other loose aggregates from the surface, repair large uneven parts or holes on the surface, and make the surface level enough. If necessary, use light sandblasting, grinding or other construction methods that are conducive to bonding (note that the internal force of the concrete substrate should be higher than 1.5N/mm2 for external reinforcement);
2. Steel base
To remove surface dust, oil and grease, rust, scale, and rolled skin, it is recommended to high-pressure cleaning, grinding or sandblasting;
3. Wood base
Remove surface oil and grease, impurities, and roughen by sandblasting or grinding.
(2) Paste carbon fiber strip
1. The carbon fiber strip should be cut according to the size required by the design, and the structural adhesive should be prepared according to the process conditions provided by the manufacturer;
2. The surface of the carbon fiber strip should be wiped clean until there is no dust. When two layers are to be pasted, both sides of the bottom carbon fiber strip should be wiped clean;
3. The cleaned carbon fiber strip should be brushed with structural adhesive immediately, the center of the adhesive layer should be arched, and the average thickness should not be less than 2mm;
4. The carbon fiber strip coated with glue should be gently pressed by hand to the position to be pasted. Use a rubber roller to compact evenly and smoothly along the fiber direction, so that the glue is extruded from both sides to ensure compactness and no voids; when multiple carbon fiber strips are pasted in parallel, the gap between the two strips should not be less than 5mm;
5. When two layers of carbon fiber strips need to be pasted, they should be pasted continuously. When it cannot be pasted immediately, the bottom carbon fiber strip should be cleaned again before starting to paste.
You can find anything here you are in need of, have a trust trying on these products, you will find the big difference after that.
