Among them: 1 person has gone home without injury, 5 injured persons have stable vital signs after treatment, and 17 people were killed. Suspected that due to several renovations, there was a problem with the internal structure of the building

Residents in the area reported that on the day of the accident, there was always decoration noise in the hotel, and piles of building materials could also be seen.

This is an old city, where the floors involved are more than 30 years old, have changed owners several times and have been renovated many times. According to the owner of a nearby shop, he has been here for 26 years. This building has existed since he came, and it is a three- or four-story building.

In the memory of local people, they are more familiar with its predecessor-Shanhu Hotel than Siji Kaiyuan Hotel. Established in 1991, the hotel is a comprehensive hotel integrating accommodation, catering, entertainment and business activities. For the current Four Seasons Kaiyuan Hotel, the existing owner spent more than 30 million to buy the building two or three years ago, and it is not clear whether the building is a residential or commercial building.

Obviously, the building has the problem of changes in the use of functions, followed by the problem of load changes after the house has been renovated.

A rescue team member who was on standby revealed that it is known that the initial news is that the hotel room department renovation damaged the load-bearing wall, which led to the collapse.

It can be preliminarily judged that this is a building with serious violations of regulations in use and decoration. Although it has been undergoing renovations, it is all facade repairs and no systematic structural reinforcement has been carried out.
