Project overview
A hotel is a twenty-eight storey frame shear wall structure with a building area of 40345.37m2. The hotel formally started the pile foundation construction in December 1994. Because of the economic benefits of the hotel management, the project was stopped in 1998 and the main structure was closed when the construction was stopped. The project is idle for 10 years. It is the project of uncompleted building. At the beginning of 2008, the owner changed its use function into four star hotel, resumed construction, and commissioned relevant units to verify the quality of the hotel, and strengthened the hotel accordingly.
Quality of concrete members
According to the test results, the problems existing in the concrete components of the main building of the project are that the concrete strength of some components is low and can not meet the requirements of the design strength; some concrete members have the conditions of excessive carbonization, leakage, cracks and corrosion of steel bars.
On the basis of the review of the bearing capacity of the main structure, it is considered that because the concrete strength of some concrete components is low, the bearing capacity of some components can not meet the requirements of the design standard, and the corresponding reinforcement and reinforcement should be carried out. The excessive carbonization depth of some concrete members, cracks and corrosion of steel bars will affect the normal service performance and durability of the houses, and should be dealt with accordingly.
Structural strengthening content of this project
The concrete members which have low concrete strength and can not meet the requirements of bearing capacity are treated with the following methods: reinforcing the concrete column by the reinforcement of outer steel, and strengthening the concrete shear wall, concrete beam and concrete slab by sticking steel or sticking carbon fiber cloth.

Construction technology of column reinforcement
The concrete columns with low strength of concrete and unable to meet the requirements of bearing capacity are strengthened by externally bonded steel.
Reinforcement technology of structural main beam
The concrete beams with low strength of concrete and unable to meet the requirements of bearing capacity are strengthened by sticking steel plates.
Construction technology of slab reinforcement
Carbon fiber fabric(FRP fabric) is used to reinforce the concrete slab with low strength and can not meet the requirement of bearing capacity.
