Shear Strengthening of R/C Beams Wrapped with CFRP Fabric

Using 0.167mm x 100mm x 2000mm CFRP (carbon fiber fabric), the beam side "U" shape is attached to 1 layers, and the distance is 150mm, but the beam needs 31 strips, and a 0.167mm x 100mm x 8400mm CFRP is pasted on both sides of the plate bottom, all of which need to be anchored at the bottom of the beam.

 Beams Wrapped with CFRP Fabric

Project overview

The cracks are found on the surface of three beams and three trabeculae and their bearing walls, and the cracks are all near the end of the beam end. The number of cracks is large and different in form. Some cracks are "eight" across the side of the beam, some are in the horizontal direction, and some surface plastering has formed a cavity.

Shear strengthening of R/C beams wrapped with CFRP fabric

The load in the girder design is not conducive to the bearing capacity of the beam. Although the calculation of its shear capacity is satisfied, the reinforcement has violated the relevant provisions of the code, and has resulted in structural cracks at the end of the beam. The beams should be reinforced.
